How To Make the Most Out of Your Spotify App
There’s a good reason why Spotify has around 696 million monthly users. The app has always given us everything that we’ve wanted from a music streaming app: from high sound quality to nearly every song from all over the world available in the vast library. Not only that, but you can access Spotify on a lot of platforms, including your smartphone, laptop, PC, Smart TV, gaming consoles, to even your car!
You can also make the most out of the music streaming experience through lossless audio. To access the lossless audio feature, you must ensure that your internet connection is up to par. For that matter, I’ve opted for Xfinity Internet due to its high-speed internet connection. In fact, if you look into Xfinity bundles, you can throw a good cable TV service into the mix as well, giving you the best of both worlds!
Coming back to Spotify, here are some ways in which you can make the most out of your Spotify app.
Use the Lossless Audio Feature
This is the most prominent feature that I’ve mentioned before, but Spotify gives access to lossless audio if you have a premium account and an output device such as headphones or speakers that support lossless audio. Otherwise, you get access to compressed versions of songs that don’t have the details that lossless music does.
Spotify also has a feature where it automatically sets the music playback quality settings to the user’s listening setup. This ensures that you have a premium listening experience even if you don’t have lossless audio activated or the required hardware for it. However, I would still suggest that you opt to listen to lossless audio, that too with headphones that allow you to immerse yourself in the music.
Curate Your Own Playlists
Everyone has a playlist set for different moods, right? You can amp that idea up with Spotify since it not only allows you to curate your own playlists, but also adds more music based on its algorithm of similar music. This allows you to diversify your music and also introduces you to new music along the way.
This way, you can organize your music according to your moods, your activities, such as working or hitting the gym, different genres, including rock, pop, rap, etc., or even organize your music according to certain memories to make the experience more nostalgic for yourself.
The best part is, you can add creative images to your playlists to add a personalized touch to them! In my case, I have a kitten lifting a dumbbell like a barbell for my gym playlist.
Use the Enhance Feature for Your Playlists
If you run out of ideas while creating your playlists, you can always keep adding to them. You should be glad that Spotify has a strong algorithm and a great sense of AI; it picks up on your music preferences and adds more music according to them. To use this feature, all you have to do is create a playlist and tap on the “enhance” button on the playlist.
This makes use of Spotify’s AI, which does an amazing job. It approves music for your playlist and then helps you finalize your playlist with similar songs and vibes. So, as a pro tip, once you are done making your playlist, just make sure you hit “enhance” to add an interesting touch to it.
Don’t Forget the “Spotify Wrapped” Feature
At the end of every year, Spotify gives you a detailed breakdown of your music streaming experience throughout the year. The details include your minutes spent listening, your most-streamed artists, the areas where they were streamed the most, and a lot more. It’s like an interesting culmination of all your statistics, giving you an idea as to how much of your life you dedicate to music.
Can you imagine that back in 2024, I had 95k minutes of listening? Which I know is absurd, but only a true music fan can relate to it. So, always be sure to keep an eye out for your Spotify Wrapped so you can have a better idea about your listening habits as well.
There’s Also Spotify DJ Feature
Did you know that Spotify has its own DJ2? It’s like your very own dedicated radio station where the DJ picks out all your favorite music in the beginning and then starts adding other songs that it thinks you might like. This helps you diversify your music palate so that you can keep adding to your music tastes!
So, whenever you get bored with your everyday music, make sure you give the DJ feature a shot so that it can spice things up for you further! However, if I were you, I would get started with the lossless audio feature to make the most out of Spotify app, immersing myself into details that I had never heard before.
